Suspended clay, silt, and fine soil particles can remain in water long after heavier sediment has settled. On active jobsites, this may affect sediment basins, holding ponds, dewatering operations, discharge quality, inspection readiness, and downstream water resources.
In rivers, lakes, streams, and other open-water environments, the challenge may be different. Instead of treating the water directly, the project may need to isolate disturbed areas and prevent suspended sediment from migrating beyond the work zone.
GETSCO supports both needs. We provide soil-specific polymer treatment using Applied Polymer Systems products, along with floating turbidity curtains and related containment products from Aer-Flo and Texas Boom Company.

JOBSITE WATER TREATMENT

APS polymer products are not treated as universal chemicals. Different soils and water conditions may respond differently to individual formulations. Selecting the appropriate polymer requires evaluating the actual sediment, soil chemistry, water characteristics, flow conditions, and treatment method.
GETSCO knows the regional soils and provides on-site testing for both the granular series and Floc Logs. This allows the treatment recommendation to be based on observed performance rather than guesswork.
We keep four variations of APS granular products and four variations of APS Floc Logs in stock, giving contractors access to commonly needed formulations after the appropriate testing has been completed.

Floating turbidity curtains create a controlled containment zone around disturbed areas in rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, coastal waters, and other open-water environments.
The barrier includes a flotation section at the surface and a weighted curtain extending below the waterline. When correctly selected, anchored, and installed, the system helps prevent suspended silt and sediment from migrating outside the active work area while particles settle.
GETSCO supplies Aer-Flo turbidity curtains and keeps 5-foot by 50-foot Type 2 DOT panels in stock for commonly encountered construction and environmental applications.
Type 2 DOT curtains are designed for more demanding conditions than light-duty barriers and are commonly used in lakes, streams, tidal areas, and other environments exposed to current, wind, or wave action.
