Inlet Protection

Dandy Products Solutions for Storm Drain, Curb Inlet, and Grate Protection

Inlet Protection Products for Construction Site Compliance

Sediment is the number one water quality pollutant coming off active construction sites, and protecting storm drain inlets is one of the most critical and most inspected BMPs on any permitted project. GETSCO carries the full Dandy Products line of inlet protection devices to keep sediment out of the storm sewer system, your jobsite in compliance, and the surrounding neighborhood protected from the runoff that comes with active land disturbance.

From grate guards and curb inlet inserts to filter bags and sediment capture devices, every inlet on the site can be covered with the right product. Contact our Geo Product Specialists to find the right Dandy Products solution for your inlet types and project requirements.

Dandy Bag

Sediment Filtration for Flat Grate and Curb Inlets

Keeping sediment out of storm drain inlets starts with the right product over the right inlet, and the Dandy Bag is engineered specifically for flat grate and mountable curb applications where a suspended geotextile filter bag provides the most effective sediment capture available. As sediment-laden stormwater flows into the inlet, the Dandy Bag slows the flow, allows suspended solids to settle out, and captures them inside the bag before they can enter the storm sewer system below.

The Dandy Bag works by suspending a nonwoven geotextile filter bag below the grate or inside the curb inlet opening, creating a collection chamber where water slows down and sediment drops out of suspension before the filtered water passes through the bag walls and into the drain.

GETSCO carries the Dandy Bag as part of the full Dandy Products inlet protection line, giving contractors and project managers a proven, inspection-ready solution for flat grate and curb inlet compliance on active construction sites.

Capture Sediment at the Inlet Before It Enters the System

  • Designed specifically for flat grate and mountable curb inlet applications
  • Suspended geotextile filter bag slows flow and allows suspended solids to settle out before entering the drain
  • Captures fine sediment particles that standard inlet protection devices often miss
  • Easy to install, inspect, and replace after storm events for ongoing compliance
  • Supports NPDES stormwater permit compliance on active construction and land disturbance sites
  • Part of the Dandy Products inlet protection line, available through GETSCO
  • Reduces sediment loading in municipal storm sewer systems and downstream waterways
  • Available alongside the full Dandy Products line for complete jobsite inlet protection coverage

Dandy Curb Bag

Sediment Filter Bag for Curb and Gutter Inlet Protection

Curb and gutter inlets present a unique inlet protection challenge because of their horizontal opening and the concentrated sheet flow they collect from paved surfaces. The Dandy Curb Bag is engineered specifically for this configuration, capturing sediment-laden stormwater before it enters the curb inlet and filtering suspended solids out of the flow before they reach the storm sewer system below.

As runoff enters the curb opening, the Dandy Curb Bag slows the flow and allows suspended solids to settle out and be captured inside the bag rather than being carried into the drain. The tough, durable construction of the bag holds up through repeated storm events and the physical abuse that comes with active construction site conditions.

GETSCO carries the Dandy Curb Bag as part of the full Dandy Products inlet protection line. Our Geo Product Specialists can help you confirm the right Dandy Products device for every inlet configuration on your project.

Tough Enough to Handle the Jobsite and the Storm

  • Designed specifically for curb and gutter inlet configurations
  • Slows incoming flow and allows suspended solids to settle out before water enters the drain
  • Tough, durable construction holds up through multiple storm events and active construction conditions
  • Easy to install, inspect, and replace for ongoing permit compliance
  • Reduces sediment loading in municipal storm sewer systems and downstream waterways
  • Supports NPDES stormwater permit compliance on active construction and land disturbance sites
  • Part of the Dandy Products inlet protection line, available through GETSCO
  • Available alongside the full Dandy Products line for complete jobsite inlet protection coverage

Cover Every Curb Inlet on the Site Before the First Storm Arrives

An unprotected curb inlet is an open door for sediment to enter the storm sewer system. Contact GETSCO’s Geo Product Specialists today to get the Dandy Curb Bag and the full Dandy Products line specified and delivered to your site.

Dandy Sack

Suspended Sediment Filter for Under-Grate Storm Drain Inlet Protection

Designed to hang directly underneath a storm grate, the Dandy Sack puts the filtration where the sediment ends up, inside the inlet structure itself rather than on top of it. As sediment-laden stormwater flows through the grate and into the Dandy Sack below, the flow slows down, suspended solids settle out and are captured inside the bag, and filtered water continues into the drain system without carrying sediment with it.

The under-grate design makes the Dandy Sack a practical solution for high-traffic areas where a surface-mounted inlet protection device would be damaged, displaced, or create a tripping hazard for pedestrians and vehicles. Because it installs below the grate surface, the Dandy Sack stays out of the way while still delivering sediment capture performance.

GETSCO carries the Dandy Sack as part of the full Dandy Products inlet protection line. Our Geo Product Specialists can help you confirm the right Dandy Products device for every inlet type on your project.

Below the Grate and Out of the Way, But Never Out of Compliance

  • Designed to hang underneath a storm grate for out-of-the-way sediment capture
  • Slows incoming flow and allows suspended solids to settle and be captured before entering the drain
  • Practical solution for high-traffic areas where surface-mounted inlet protection is not suitable
  • Keeps the grate surface clear of obstructions for pedestrian and vehicle safety
  • Easy to install, inspect, and replace for ongoing permit compliance
  • Supports NPDES stormwater permit compliance on active construction and land disturbance sites
  • Part of the Dandy Products inlet protection line, available through GETSCO
  • Available alongside the full Dandy Products line for complete jobsite inlet protection coverage

Dandy Curb Sack

Under-Grate Sediment Filter for Curb and Gutter Inlet Protection

The Dandy Curb Sack combines the under-grate installation approach of the Dandy Sack with the curb and gutter inlet design of the Dandy Curb Bag, giving contractors a tough, durable sediment filtration device that hangs below the storm grate on curb and gutter inlets to capture suspended solids before they enter the storm sewer system.

As sediment-laden stormwater flows through the grate on a curb or gutter inlet, it enters the Dandy Curb Sack suspended below. The flow slows inside the bag, suspended solids settle out and are captured, and filtered water continues into the drain without carrying sediment downstream. The under-grate design keeps the device out of the traffic flow above while still delivering inlet protection performance.

GETSCO carries the Dandy Curb Sack as part of the full Dandy Products inlet protection line. Our Geo Product Specialists can help you match the right Dandy Products device to every inlet type on your project.

Under-Grate Protection for the Inlets That Take the Most Abuse

  • Designed to hang underneath the storm grate on curb and gutter inlet configurations
  • Slows incoming flow and allows suspended solids to settle and be captured before entering the drain
  • Under-grate installation keeps the device out of traffic flow and away from site equipment
  • Tough, durable construction holds up through repeated storm events and active site conditions
  • Easy to install, inspect, and replace for ongoing permit compliance throughout the project
  • Supports NPDES stormwater permit compliance on active construction and land disturbance sites
  • Part of the Dandy Products inlet protection line, available through GETSCO
  • Available alongside the full Dandy Products line for complete jobsite inlet protection coverage
